A small village called Askana that is situated in the Georgian region Guria gifted the world with wonderful wines which are today known under Askaneli Brothers name. Chkhaidze brothers continue the traditions of their grandfather – in late 19th century he created wines which were highly esteemed even in France. The main feature of these wines production is that they are aged not only in oak barrels, but also in clay pitchers called kvevri. The oldest pitcher dates back to 1880. And the second main feature is that it is a very small family winery which makes highly limited quantities of wine.
